In the last study period, more than a half of Spanish companies (61%) have contacted the Administration via the Internet to obtain information, compared to 68% of European Union companies. The same happens with regard to official forms: 61% of Spanish companies use the Internet to this end, compared to 68% of European Union companies. With respect to the other two reasons, 49% of Spanish companies use the Internet to return completed forms, 11 percentage points below the EU values; and 48% of Spanish companies use the Internet to handle files electronically, at the level of the European Union average.
Generally speaking, Spain has values similar to those of the EU-27 in three out of the four indicators.
